Growing up between 2 worlds
Having a big family and only 1 close family member who was deaf caused me to live within 2 seperate worlds. A magical Deaf community with, language, culture that was rich with history and stories. This world I only shared with 1 person. Then to have all this knowledge of this world and live only in a completely different world, a hearing world.
I Decided to make a space that made connection between both worlds just a click or call away and in june of 2008 Handz Up was born. to bridge that gap for all.

We pride ourselves on getting to know you and your needs to communicate, whether that is to interpret in areas that you best shine or to pair you with a mentor to help you reach your fullest potential. We also create safe spaces for people who want to know more about Deaf culture, history and language in a non-judgemental enviornment to make mistakes, learn and grow together. All are welcome here
